III International Poetry Award Pilar Fernández Labrador
The Mujeres en Igualdad de Salamanca association, with the collaboration of the Excma. Diputación Provincial of Salamanca and the society of Estudios Literarios y Humanísticos of Salamanca (SELIH), will award the III edition of the prestigious International Poetry Award Pilar Fernández Labrador the 1st of April, 2016. According to El Norte de Castilla newspaper, there were 465 poets who participated with their manuscripts. Out of the 465 participants, only 30 were chosen as finalists and await for the final result of the award.
The award winner will have their book published by Ediciones de la Diputación, and will receive a plaque of recognition; a painting titled ‘El querido Quijote de Cervantes III’, by the renowned painter Miguel Elías; the translation of the winning poetry book to Portuguese and promotion in digital magazines in Brazil and Portugal. One of the poems in the book will also be translated to 15 languages (German, English, Arab, Hindi, Chinese, French, Russian, Italian, Japanese, Croatian, Romanian, Indonesian...) and finally, the invitation to participate in the XIX encuentro de Poetas Iberoamericanos, in October, 2016.
