Link y las estrellas fugaces
Susana Balán & Claudia Cano

Susana Balan and Claudia Cano
Link y las estrellas fugaces
SPANISH

Link and the Shooting Stars describes the journey of Link, a young horse looking for the place where the shooting stars land as a metaphor for the search for himself, to know who he really is.

His dream describes the hero’s learning path taken by the people represented by this character. The honest journey of a character who, while feeling gratitude and love for his world of belonging, feels summoned to adventure. He needs to go out into the unknown, which will lead him to live experiences that will allow him to discover himself and finally, to know who he is, what his essence is.

After encounters with allies and enemies and having lived through various trials, he discovers what home means to him. That feeling of peace that overwhelmed him and was finally inside him.

In addition to living his story, Link thinks about the feelings that each of his actions provoke in him. Every reflection, every question that he asks himself, he is asking the readers. Thus, any of us who have felt like strange or misunderstood characters in our own adventure story that is life, can feel that we are not alone on this path.

As Albert Levy tells us in his preface: Link reminds us of The Little Prince, since it is a mirror of inner feelings expressed metaphorically through a young, gentle horse who searches for peace of mind through foreign lands. It is a reading to be savored and will resonate with many readers, young and old.
It is very interesting to accompany the reading of the book with a series of questions at the end of each chapter that can be found in Spanish, English and Portuguese on the Writings tab of Susana Balán's website. In this way, the literary experience is enriched.

Link and the Shooting Stars is sold online in ebook format and is available in three languages: English, Spanish and Portuguese. It is also in audiobook format recorded by the beautiful voice and interpretation of Ana María Bovo.

Link and the Shooting Stars is an excellent and original proposal for both children and adults who venture to discover their dreams.
