Picture

The literary organization Letras en la Frontera, founded by Alfredo Ávalos, will be celebrating the centenary of Juan Rulfo's birth on Sept. 29 - Oct. 1 through a set of literary events. On the 29th of Sept. at 6:30 pm, at UNAM San Antonio, fragments of Rulfo's stories will be read and a conversation will be led by Gerardo Segura on the importance of his work.

On the 30th at 10:00 am at Our Lady of the Lake University, Gerardo Segura and Amélie Olaiz will coordinate a workshop. The workshop will be 7 hours long, 4 hours on Friday and 3 hours on Saturday. It is free and open to the public. All materials needed will be included. On the afternoon at 6:30 pm at OLLU, Amélie Olaiz and Javier Tinajero will present their latest books. On Saturday, the workshop will come to an end and the events will conclude with a mixer.

Letras en la Frontera has been active for 8 years and seeks to promote the work of authors who form part of the organization's yearly events.
