Interview With ​Alfredo Ávalos

Alfredo Ávalos is a cultural promoter, writer, and editor. He is a bridge-builder between literary communities on both sides of the U.S.-Mexico border. He is currently the community and culture coordinator at UNAM San Antonio and the founder of Letras en la Frontera. His work explores the borderlands as a living space of language, memory, and connection.

Héctor "Vale" Rendón (Mazatlán, México) is a publisher, writer, academic, and journalist. He currently serves as Assistant Professor at Washington State University. He has written three novels and has lived in five different countries. As a journalist, he has worked for almost two decades as an editor, foreign correspondent, TV reporter, multimedia reporter, and editor-in-chief for several media outlets. Throughout his career, he has received numerous awards and grants supporting both his academic and creative work, including a Fulbright grant.
