In an effort to celebrate, promote and document contemporary Latino Poetry, Latino Book Review has decided to create a database that will archive the names and faces of all Latino Poet Laureates in the U.S. The following is an ongoing list that will function as a growing database of Latino Poet Laureates around the Nation. These include poets who have been appointed by their city, state or national officials through a legislative action, or governor act/proclamation, state library or Library of Congress. We ask the general public to help Latino Book Review continue building this database by providing the names of Latino Poet Laureates at the state or city level as well as the time period they were appointed, on the comment section below, so they can be included.
